“Chef Slowdown” was a web game developed in 3 days for Mini Jam 189 – Cooking on July 20th 2025. You play as a slime jumping around inside a box. You are also able to rotate the box to shift around the level inside. With these tools, you are able to solve a variety of puzzles and platforming challenges.
This game placed 8th overall in the competition

My Contributions
This game was developed by 4 people including myself. I was responsible for coding the player’s movement, and their interactions for picking up and placing down items. I also designed the kitchen layout, and made sure to balance the placements of the items to provide a good challenge to the player.
To fit the limitation of the game jam (“Time is the enemy”), I designed a system where the player will slowly age over time, which slows them down. The player will also gain “years” of their life back by fulfilling orders. This rewards the player for acting quickly, and maintaining a healthy body.
I was also responsible for the pixel art assets and models seen in gameplay.
